Why projections may differ from IDP Guru rankings

These projections are created independently using a data-based model that estimates each player’s expected games, playing time, role, statistical production, and fantasy points. They are intended to provide an objective statistical baseline and are not manually adjusted to match the rankings.

The rankings represent my recommended draft order and also account for role security, injury risk, upside, weekly consistency, positional scarcity, scheme uncertainty, ADP, and draft strategy.

Use the projections as an expected statistical baseline and the rankings as my primary recommended draft order.

Frequently asked questions

How deep are the projections?
Version 1.0 includes 1,017 projected defensive players across DE, DT, LB, CB, and S. Use the projected-snap threshold to keep the workbook focused on draftable players or expand the pool for deeper leagues and waiver-watch depth.
What is included in the cheat sheets?
The Standard Cheat Sheet includes an overall Top 100, DL Top 75, LB Top 75, DB Top 75, DT Top 40, and CB Top 40. The Deep Cheat Sheet expands to an overall Top 150, DL Top 100, LB Top 100, DB Top 100, DT Top 60, and CB Top 60.
Do the cheat sheets update when I change my scoring?
Yes. The Standard and Deep Cheat Sheet tabs update automatically when you change your scoring settings.
What does the minimum projected-snap setting do?
It controls which players appear in the visible rankings. Lower values include more depth, while higher values create a shorter, more draft-focused list. It does not change any player’s underlying projection.
Why did my rankings change after editing the scoring?
Fantasy Points, FPPG, Rank, Tier, and cheat-sheet values are calculated using your selected scoring. Changing a category can alter the value of different player profiles.
Can I use the workbook on a phone, tablet, Google Sheets, or Apple Numbers?
Desktop Microsoft Excel is strongly recommended. Google Sheets and Apple Numbers are not supported because they may not preserve the workbook’s dynamic formulas, formatting, and controls.
Will I need a new download link when projections are updated?
No. The download button on this page will continue to point to the latest published workbook. Return to this page whenever a new version is announced.
