Week 16 IDP Waiver Wire Pickups – PERFORMANCE RESULTS
Welcome to this week’s edition of “IDP Waiver Wire Pickups – Performance Results” where I examine how accurate I was in my Weekly IDP Waiver Wire suggestions from the previous week. The scoring system is as follows:
Green = Accurate Prediction (+1 point)
Golden Yellow = Neutral Prediction (0 points)
Red = Inaccurate Prediction (-1 point)
My goal and standard will be to finish each and every week with a total score of +2 or higher.

1. RDE Randy Starks – (Actual Performance: 2-1-0)
Man do the Seahawks suck or what! (they lost 48-10). They managed to get to Aaron Rodgers only 1 time. Kerney has really started to taper off the last 4 weeks. I guess playing on a shitty team makes you shitty.
Campbell came through with a sack (and that was it). He’s played well enough to warrant DL3 consideration next year.
4. RDE Kroy Biermann – (Actual Performance: 1-1-0)
Looks as though I chose the wrong Atlanta lineman here. Both John Abraham and Jonathan Babineaux had sacks in this game. I thought Biermann might have been able to produce at least a few more tackles than he hid.
5. LDE Ray Edwards – (Actual Performance: 1-0-1)
Edwards came through with a sack of Jay Cutler on MNF. His counterpart, the beast they call Jared Allen, was held silent on the night with only 2 tackles.
A typical Suggs game. I was expecting a couple sacks and a few more tackles against Big Ben. The Ravens sacked him 4 times but Suggs wasn’t in on the action.

1. LILB Demorrio Williams – (Actual Performance: 5-4-0)
Demorrio had the game I thought he would: 9 total tackles. He has quietly been a solid low LB2/high LB3 this year and he may be moving into next year as well.
Surprisingly, Carolina dominated this game (and I’m glad because I’m a Cowboy fan). This forced the Giants to abandon the run which hurt Anderson’s numbers. Luckily, he had a fumble recovery which helped bring his total fantasy points into a respectable range.
3. WLB Mike Peterson – (Actual Performance: 3-3-0)
I expected a bigger performance from Peterson because the Bills were starting QB Brian Brohm at QB and I expected them to run the ball early and often, which they did not (only 18 total runs). This was largely due to Atlanta getting out to a big lead early. Curtis Lofton finished with only 1 tackle. OUCH!
Pretty quiet day from Matthews. You have to remember that he’s still a rookie and he is going to be a bit inconsistent at times. Matthews is still a great dynasty/sleeper pick for next year.
5. LOLB Anthony Spencer – (Actual Performance: 3-2-0.5)
Spencer continued his fantastic play against the Redskins on SNF. With teams focusing on Demarcus Ware on the weak side, Spencer has quietly started to become a real fantasy option at LB.

Briggs was pretty quiet in this game considering that this was a fairly tackle heavy game.
MLB Hunter Hillenmeyer – (Actual Performance: 13-2-0, FR)
I wish I would have taken my own advice and picked up Hillenmeyer because, boy, was he big. 15 total tackles and a brilliant strip of Adrian Peterson in overtime that won the Bears the game. I think the game ball goes to Hillenmeyer. Well done sir, well done.

Butler was the Rams leading tackler this week and turned out to be a great fantasy play. The Cardinals threw quite a bit and Butler was there to benefit.
2. SS Nedu Ndukwe – (Actual Performance: 1-3-0, INT)
I expected more tackle-wise out of N-Squared this week. However, he bailed me out with a INT. That a boy!
Brown had the monster game that I expected with 13 total tackles. I should have made him my “Lock of the Week.” I was just scared that the Michelle Brown would show up.
Harper was well on his way to a solid tackling game before he got hurt in the 2nd quarter and didn’t return. If you played him, I feel your pain. I started him in one of my leagues and it cost me. But, you can’t really predict injuries.
5. LCB Malcolm Jenkins – (Actual Performance: 8-3-0)
My theory about rookie CBs paid off this week. Jenkins turned in a big game with 11 total tackles. And what’s up with NO losing again? I’ve always thought they were a overrated because there defense isn’t that good, but TB is horrible.

SS Tanard Jackson – (Actual Performance: 4-0-0)
TB actually controlled the ball for quite a bit of this game and consequently Jackson wasn’t on the field very much. Nothing you can do about that.
After totaling up all of the points, I finished this week with a score of +1 (10 positives and 9 negatives). In other words, this means I was correct on 53% of my predictions. This was my worst week of the year mainly due to the fact that I went out on a limb and recommended more high risk/reward players this week.
